Why do I need a nutrition coach?

Sometimes it is hard to do all the admin necessary to be able to change your lifestyle and create healthy habits. We will take care of the admin for you so all you need to to are the basics

 

How long will I need a coach for?

It is variable for everyone - we hope once you reach a level of confidence with your nutrition and hour behaviours that you will be happy to carry on without us. We all learn, and grow at different rates so it’s understandable that this is variable

 

Do you tell me exactly what to eat and when?

As an additional service we can, however we believe that giving you the opportunity to learn how to create your own structure will give you the confidence to go out into the big wide world and be able to make smart choices. We focus on habit and behaviour changes that will lead to long term change.

 

Do I have to be an athlete to have nutrition coaching? / Do you only work with athletes?

We work with anyone! You definitely don’t have to be an athlete! Navigating the world of nutrition is hard for everyone regardless of your occupation, age or lifestyle

 

How often am I in contact with my coach?

There is an official check on once per week, however you’re able to contact your coach at any time via FB messenger/text and they will respond within 12 hours

 

Is there a time when I cannot talk to my coach?

Sunday is our coaches day - so if you contact them late on a Saturday or on a Sunday they will get back to you within 48 hours

 

Do you create weekly meal plans?

As an additional service we can, however we believe that giving you the opportunity to learn how to create your own structure will give you the confidence to go out into the big wide world and be able to make smart choices. Why do I have to commit for 3 months?

Change doesn’t happen overnight and we believe it is important to work on behaviour changes as well as physical changes so we can create the lasting change that is missing with so many nutritional services these days. 3 months gives both you and your coach the opportunity to learn how each other works and create a plan that will give you the knowledge and confidence to tackle the world of nutrition on your own

 

How are we different?

We believe that you should feel like the most important person to your coach which is why we don’t overload our coaches. You should never feel like a burden and you should ALWAYS feel like your coach takes you and your needs seriously

What is your nutrition philosophy?

There is not one perfect way of eating that suits everybody - in the world of misleading information and confusing and contradicting literature/social media we are here to make sense of it all and finally find a solution that works best for YOU not that other guy on Instagram or Susan at the gym who got ripped by eating only unwashed potatoes and unicorn farts

 

What are macros?

Nutrients are substances found in the food we consume that are needed for growth, repair, energy production along with a host of other body functions. Macronutrients are the nutrients that the human body requires in the largest quantities. Each plays their own part in helping the body to function but all provide us with energy in varying degrees.   Micronutrients are not needed in the same quantities however also play a role in the body’s development and function. Our 3 macronutrients are Protein, Carbohydrate and Fat

 

Do I have to track macros?

You don’t have to track macros, but they give you the opportunity to create more structure. Depending on your personality type and your goals counting macros can be a very effective way to ensure you know exactly what you are eating. It is also effective for learning the composition of your food to really understand what your food is made up of

 

Do I have to weigh my food?

If we choose the Macro option for you, yes you will need to weigh and measure your food. This means we have an accurate reflection of your overall intake
